The Kilts
Journey
The Junior Highlander Kilts were established in 2022 to foster the love of volleyball, sportsmanship and prepare kids for a higher standard of play in Mequon/Thiensville. The Homestead High School coaching staff and parents have a desire to raise the level of play in middle school and ultimately high school. The answer is the Kilts.
The Kilts have a close relationship with Homestead Highlanders coaches and players. The coaches share their lessons and culture to keep the Kilts aligned with the high school. The Homestead players intereact with the Kilts as mentors, future teammates and an example of sportsmanship and leaders.
The Kilts started with four teams in 2022. The club grew to six teams in 2023 to include two 8th grade teams, a 7th grade team, 6th grade team, 5th/6th grade team and a 5th grade team.
